Managing and Organizing Your Recipes

Whether you’re just starting your baking/cooking journey or you’ve been at this for quite a while, keeping your recipes organized can be a huge challenge!

I love my cookbooks and recipe cards, especially the ones that have been handed down from loved ones who have passed away. Just seeing their handwriting brings a smile to my face. I still have an old photo album that I keep recipe cards in and a much loved ‘favorites’ recipe book that I maintain to this day.

But what about those moments when you’re at the grocery store buying ingredients to make those much loved recipes and you forgot to make a list properly? Or what if you find discount proteins at the store and you want to pivot in your meal planning to save some money? Wouldn’t it be nice to have a digital copy of your recipes to quickly look up any recipe? Of course it would be! Let me show you how to create a digital copy of your recipes for just that occasion.

Apps for saving recipes

Anylist

I love this app! I’ve been using it for years now and I highly recommend it for your recipe organizational needs. You only need to purchase the annual subscription if you really want to.

Paprika

This is another great recipe app that comes highly recommended from my good friend. You will have to pay for your phone and computer app separately. But the app sounds very similar to Anylist.
