Brazilian Feast

Our latest culinary adventure took us to Brazil. We’ve been to a Brazilian Steakhouse before (several times actually, since hubby is definitely a carnivore). To challenge myself, we had to make something new to us, so I reached out to sweet friends who are from Brazil and this is the menu she recommended:

  • Prawn coconut stew
  • cheesy bread
  • Brazilian hot chocolate

I added the truffles, not knowing how rich the Brazilian hot chocolate was going to be! And of course I only got a couple pictures before the feast was devoured.

A quick note about the cheesy bread: make sure you grease the muffin pans very well! They will stick horribly and you’ll have to tear them out of the pans. They will still eat great, but they’ll look awful.

Recipes Used

Prawn Coconut Stew

This stew was amazing! We loved it and it will definitely make it into the meal rotation.

Cheesy Bread

If you’ve ever been to a Brazilian restaurant you know how amazing this bread is! I had not idea it was that easy to make.

Brazilian Truffles

Great little chocolate nuggets. Very easy to make and fun for the kids to help roll in the sprinkles.

Brazilian Hot Chocolate

This stuff is incredible! Very decadent and thick. It was so thick, that I had to adapt the recipe to give it a drinkable quality and make enough for my sweet tooth hounds.
