Brioche French Toast

French toast is very quick and easy to make. I’ve included a video for this one because it’s not something I measure exactly, it’s just done to look the way I think it should.

You’ll Need:

  • sliced bread
  • egg
  • pure vanilla extract
  • ground cinnamon
  • ground cloves
  • ground nutmeg
  • pure maple syrup

Quick tips:

  • You can use whatever bread you wish, brioche is a soft, sweet, egg bread that makes for a fantastic french toast
  • Egg to bread ratio is 1:1, so two slices of french toast used 2 eggs
  • Use something to grease the pan! This egg mixture will stick to a pan and tear your french toast
  • Once your french toast hits the pan, watch for the wetness to disappear and you’ll know the french toast is ready to flip
  • You can always flip your french toast over to make the sides darker
  • If you love eggnog, substitute the egg and milk, using only eggnog

Cast Iron Skillet

I love cast iron, and this pan is really cool! Not high sided for easier flipping action.
