The trick to making an amazing pie lies with the crust. That is the foundation and key to any pie. The best simple pie crust I use it my own butter crust, but the secondary amazing crust I have found is in this book: The Southern Pie Book. Their crust is amazing, easy to roll out, handles all the pie fillings, and tastes great.
