A good protein powder is crucial! Evolve is my favorite protein powder. The flavor is excellent (no chalky after taste) and this company gives back! They are proud partners of the National Parks Foundation. Since we love visiting National Parks, this was an easy decision for me to make.

My favorite matcha tea powder comes from Tian Hu Shan. It’s a versatile matcha tea powder great for cooking, baking, and lattes.

Of course you will need a blender to pull off a great smoothie. We own a Vitamix and the motor is still going strong. This is my third canister and I chose to get the lower profile version to tuck under my kitchen cabinets. But any blender or even an immersion blender would work well.

Instructions

Using a Blender

  • Place all ingredients into your blender in order listed, and turn your blender on low to allow gravity to feed the ingredients into the blades. Next, slowly increase your blender to blend everything well. You can add a little more oat or almond milk if the smoothie is too thick for you.
  • Once smoothie is blended, pour half into a glass to enjoy and the other half into the fridge for the next day.

Using Immersion Blender

  • Place all ingredients into a bowl or cup in order listed (you may have to reduce the recipe for your specific container). Turn your immersion blender on and slowly blend your way down the container to blend all ingredients. Slowly move your immersion blender up and down to blend all ingredients. Enjoy!
