Preheat grill to medium-high heat. After soaking the skewers for 20 minutes, thread the marinated beef strips onto the skewers. Disregard the marinade. Grill for 3-5 minutes depending on your preference (less for rare, more for well done).
20 bamboo skewers, soaked in water
Sir Frying
Get you water boiling in a pot and rinse your rice in a colander. Once water is actively boiling, toss in the rinsed rice. Cover and lower the temp to low, steam for 20 minutes.
4 cups boiling water, 2 cups rice
Heat your pan to medium high heat. Before adding the oil, toast the sesame seeds for 5-8 minutes until fragrant. Remove to a bowl.
4 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
Pour sesame oil into hot pan. Pull the marinated beef out of the bag into the pan. You may need to do 2 batches to not crowd the pan. Toss while the beef cooks. Remove when beef is cooked with some pink still showing. Once beef is cooked, sprinkle sesame seeds across the top of the beef and add chopped green onions.
1 Tbsp sesame oil, 1 bunch green onions, chopped
Slow Cooker
Pull marinated beef out of baggy and place into slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours. Serve over rice.
Notes
*You can choose the beef for this dish. Flank steak works well, but most beef roasts will work. In the video, I used eye of round roast. The nutrition facts are for the beef dish only, it doesn't include the rice. Only half of the marinade stays with the beef.
